Taking Charge

  1. Decide you can be well again. Mental and Spiritual belief important.
  2. Download Apps for Substack and Perplexity (AI).
  3. Educate yourself
  4. Work with your hospital oncology.
    • They are somewhat constrained by “Standard of Care” protocols.
    • In many cases cancers can be cured or reduced by standard chemotherapy/immunotherapy.
    • Hospital Oncology provides important blood tests and scans required to monitor progress.
    • Any adjunctive care intended to potentiate standard case.
    • In my experience very caring and compassionate care aiming at best outcomes.
  5. Take Charge.
    • Keep records of all treatments and doses.
    • Keep copies of CT scans.
    • Keep all blood test results.
    • Ask questions.
      • What do these medications do?
      • What outcomes can I expect?
      • What are the side-effects of treatments?
    • Make decisions. There will be many times you must choose between treatment options.
